Pearl Audio Video will devote an evening to computer audio and getting the best sound possible from your computer!

Great computer audio sound is possible, but not automatic. Come and meet the experts and learn the tips and techniques to elevate your computer audio experience. Ayre Acoustics’ Alex Brinkman, Shane Buettner from Audioquest, and the legendary Richard Vandersteen will all be there, spinnin’ the iTunes and sharing their knowledge and passion for all things audio!

Featured equipment will include Vandersteen’s brand new Treo loudspeaker, Ayre’s R series reference level electronics, and AudioQuest’s USB digital and analog cables. This will be the worldwide dealership premier of Richard Vandersteen’s new all wood bodied compact performance speaker.

The rotating presentations in the main listening room will begin at 7pm, and new presentations will start every 30 minutes. Outside of the main listening room, we will have listening stations set up with Peachtree Audio electronics and Grado headphones that will demonstrate AudioQuest USB cables and Amarra’s computer audio software with iTunes.

The event time is 7-9PM Thursday October 20th.
Oregon wine and minor nibbles shall be served.

We will have a new photography show called The Mix by Christina Weber. Christina is donating one half of all sales proceeds to the Jeremy Wilson Foundation.

Meet The Magnepan 3.7

Experience the Magnepan 3.7 loudspeakers with Bill Evans Trio Bassist Chuck Israels. Chuck will play some of his upcoming album on the Magnepans.

A year ago Chuck moved to the Pearl, stopped in the store and told us he planned to assemble a new Jazz group. Earlier this year the new Chuck Israels Orchestra recorded six tracks of their new album. Chuck brought by a usb stick with 24/96 studio masters for us to enjoy on our computer music systems. We will be playing these and some new tracks on the Magnepans!

The other Star of the Show is the fabulous new Magnepan 3.7 speaker which will have its official Debut at the event.  Replacing its 12 year running predecessor the Magnepan 3.6, the 3.7 ushers in a new era and magnitude of performance. Tremendous improvements in fine detail at low levels, integration, and bass performance have been brought about. Take a look at the Magnepan 3.7 on Magnepan’s website for links to reviews and industry commentary on this landmark speaker.

Christina’s Darling Dad Joe Weber, who owned Corner Audio here in Portland for many years, will be on hand to meet and greet as well! If you remember Joe’s famous newsletters he always referred to his Darling Daughter Christina. Joe’s son Steve Weber, aka ‘The Hoodlum’ may drop in as well.

It seems that the economy is picking up a bit!

But we’re still conservative.
But we still want a NEW STEREO!

So we’ve decided to put on a one hour ‘Frugal Flyers’ demonstration Saturday after next. The presentation will be simple:  We will set up and present five systems under $5K.  You might see some Peachtree, Kef, Vandersteen, Magnepan 1.6 & 1.7, a turntable, and maybe even a system from our pre-owned section!

The event will be on Saturday November 13th from 5 until 6.

Magnepan’s Wendell Diller (an Oregon Native!) will be on a ‘Mystery Tour’, presenting the new Magnepan MG 1.7 and a new Magnepan Mystery speaker. What new Magnepan? Wendell won’t tell, and if you want to hear it your gotta come see Wendell!

To further the Mystery, Wendell’s demonstrations and the new Mystery Magnepan shall be done with a curtain screen wall between you and the speakers! Once your think you thought you heard what you think you thought you heard you will see that what you thought you thunk you thought you heard was in fact, all in yer hed. (thanks uma).
