What’s with the cloth sock covering most of the speaker? Richard saves tremendous manufacturing expense by wrapping his speakers in cloth suspended by a dowel structure. Functionally, the sock allows Richard to build a physically time aligned driver arrangement without extraordinarily expensive cabinetry and also lets him cover the driver driver housings in sound damping material so you won’t hear sound reflecting off of the speaker as it plays. Lastly, the sock provides one of the most durable speaker coverings imaginable.
